Pesto Pasta

I’ve made this dish now for the first time and we liked it.

You are sure by now that my recipes are kinda easy to make and so this is. I guess this is the easiest pasta recipe I made, and the next one would be “espaguetis al ajillo” – a traditional Spanish spaghetti recipe with garlic, parsley, olive oil and sometimes shrimp.

It’s very tasty, we like it very much.

Ingredients:

  • Spaghetti or pasta of your choice
  • pesto
  • fresh basil
  • pepper
  • parmesan
  • sliced almonds

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, in a lot of salted water.

Cut 2-3 fresh basil leaves very thin.

Reserve 1/4 a cup of the pasta water.

Drain the cooked pasta, add the pesto over and the basil and some pepper and stir everything together.

I served the pasta with some sliced almonds and parmesan.

I had this time bought pesto but you know I’m all for the homemade stuff, homemade is better and tastier.
