Lemon Salt

My husband brought home some beautiful big lemons and we used them in tea most of the time, but I didn’t want to throw the skin, knowing they’re organic lemons.

I saved the skin from two lemons and I let it dry at room temperature because I wanted to make something I had in mind for some time.

Until now I made with the lemon zest two things, I added sugar to it, for desserts and today I put salt, for meat or vegetables.

For desserts, I zest the lemon and put it in a jar and I add some sugar, and stir and I put the jar in the fridge and use the zest whenever I need it. I like it very much in pancakes.

For the meat, I let the lemon skin dry completely at room temperature, I blend it very well in a coffee grinder and then I mix the zest with salt, I added 3 teaspoons of sea salt.

I added the mixture to a jar and save it for when I need it.

I want to use this mixture when I will make again salmon :).
