Black Garlic Hummus

I love Hummus very much, I love it on toast, on a wrap, with some veggies or breadsticks.

It’s my favorite spread and because of that, I make it very often.

I make an entire bowl and I eat it by myself because my husband is not really a fan of Hummus, I don’t understand why ๐Ÿ™‚ because it’s sooo delicious.

Today I tried something different, we have some black garlic and I wanted to see how it would turn out, and it is really good. ๐Ÿ™‚

Health benefits of black garlic: 

  • is thought to help lower cholesterol
  • decrease the risk of cancer
  • offers protection against infections
  • high in antioxidants

This recipe is almost exactly like this one, the only difference is that I added the black garlic and some caraway seeds.

Ingredients:

  • chickpeas
  • lemon juice
  • 2 cloves of black garlic
  • sesame seeds
  • salt and pepper
  • caraway seeds
  • water from the chickpeas

Soak the chickpeas overnight and the next day, cook them until they’re soft. Drain the chickpeas and put them in a blender with the rest of the ingredients, but save some water from the chickpeas.

Blend it until you reach the desired consistency.

To have a smoother hummus, discard the chickpea skin.

To try this hummus, I made myself a delicious sandwich :), with bell pepper, greens, turkey ham, and carrot.

Black Garlic Hummus

Prep Time: 12 hours

Cook Time: 30 minutes
