Quick and Easy Apple Tart

This Quick and Easy Apple Tart might be the easiest tart you will ever make. It has only a handful of ingredients, that you already might have in the kitchen.
Quick and Easy Apple Tart

Puff pastry is really amazing. It comes in handy when you need a quick dessert, that doesn’t require a lot of time, baking, and effort. You can make this dessert in less than 20 minutes. Isn’t that great? 🙂

And you need only a few ingredients, that you probably already have on hand.

Ingredients:

  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • 3 sliced apples
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 a teaspoon of vanilla powder or extract
  • 2 teaspoons of butter
  • kiwi jam to brush at the end (or any other jam you like)

Take out the pastry from the fridge 20 minutes before you start making it, this way, it will be easier to roll out, and it will not break. Roll it out directly on its paper on a baking sheet.

Slice the apples and put them in a large bowl, add the sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Stir all the ingredients together to fully cover the apples with the delicious spices.

Preheat the oven to 180*C.

Next, arrange the apples on the pastry, leaving 5 cm on each end so that you can close the apples a little bit into the pastry, almost like a galette. Add the butter on top and bake the pastry for 20 minutes, or until golden on top.

Take it out and brush the pastry and the apples with the jam when it’s still hot. I used kiwi jam because I like it, but you can use what kind of jam you love.
