Really Delicious Caesar Salad

Since I’ve first tried this Caesar Salad, I fell in love with it, because it’s really delicious and yet, so simple to make.

Believe it or not, I’ve never made this salad at home, until now. If you ask me, I don’t know why, because I love it, but I made a whole lot of other salads instead because I love salads.

You believe me if I say to you that my husband is a salad lover? ๐Ÿ™‚

He loves salads very much, he said that he could live only with salads, and I’m glad about that because I love them too.

I know that there are a lot of variations of this salad online, and I’m making my own as well. First of all, I add in the dressing Worcestershire sauce AND anchovies. I know some people don’t, or they add just one. Second, I used lamb’s lettuce salad, that’s what I had on hand, because lately, we are obsessed with it, and we eat it all the time in salads.

The last thing is that I use more vegetables in the salad that you normally add to a caesar salad. We made this salad to match our taste. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ingredients for the dressing:

  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon of Worchestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 anchovies
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 100 ml of mild olive oil
  • 30 g of grated parmesan cheese

First, add all the ingredients (except the oil and cheese) and blitz until you reach a creamy consistency. Pour the oil little by little and blend again. Finally, add the parmesan cheese and blend for a few seconds to incorporate it perfectly. Pour the dressing into a jar with a lid and place it in the fridge.

Really Delicious Caesar Salad

Ingredients for the salad:

  • 1 chicken breast
  • greens of your choice
  • slices of parmesan cheese
  • toasted bread
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • red cabbage, sliced
  • 2 small carrots, cut julienne
  • 3 radishes, sliced

On a grill pan add the chicken breast that has been seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Cook it on both sides on medium heat 7-8 minutes, until it’s cooked through. Let the chicken breast rest and prepare the rest of the ingredients. Toast a slice of bread and then cut it into little cubes.

Slice the chicken into bite size pieces.

Add the ingredients for the salad into a big bowl, add the sliced chicken, the bread, the slices of parmesan cheese and the dressing on top. It’s really good, I promise.

Of course, we don’t eat this dressing and salad often, because it’s not so healthy, but it’s good.
