Roasted Turkey Leg with Vegetables is an excellent choice for dinner, or when you want a special meal with your family.

Roasted Turkey Leg with Vegetables

It’s easy to make, you just arrange on a baking sheet the turkey leg and vegetables and you leave it in the oven for at least 1:30, and that’s it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 turkey leg (mine had 1kg)
  • 1/2 a broccoli, cut into florets
  • 200 g of baby carrots
  • 250 g of baby potatoes, halved
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 stalk of celery, sliced
  • 150 ml of vegetable stock
  • salt and pepper
  • thyme and rosemary

Marinade:

  • 200 ml of vegetable stock
  • fresh thyme and rosemary
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic

Clean the turkey and wash it throughout. 

In a shallow big dish add the turkey leg, add the rest of the ingredients and let it marinate for 2-3 hours. Every hour bath the turkey with a ladle. Keep the turkey in the fridge these 3 hours.

Prepare the vegetables. Arrange them on a baking sheet. Add the turkey leg, discarding the marinade. Season the vegetables with salt, pepper, thyme and rosemary.

Make cuts on the turkey leg, to make sure it cooks well inside. Add 2-3 garlic cloves into the cuts.

Cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour at 180*C. After 1 hour, take the foil off and cook for another hour.
