This Homemade Granola is one that has a lot of great things in it, and it’s perfect with whatever you have in the pantry.
It’s no longer a mystery for all of you, my readers, that I love breakfast 🙂 and breakfast time. When it’s all peaceful I can enjoy my meal with a cup of tea or coffee. It’s the best, guys! Actually, when I go to bed, I already think what I’ll make for lunch for us and for my breakfast.

I know that some of you won’t understand because you are not a morning person or a breakfast person. Some of you maybe prefer to sleep more instead of eating breakfast.
I understand you because I like to sleep too, but I am used to waking up before my alarm, my body got used to that.
When I worked from 9 to 5, I would wake up half an hour earlier every time to make my breakfast, I am used to not skipping breakfast. When I wake up, that’s almost the first thing I do. I don’t know if it’s good or bad, but it works really good for me. 🙂
Now for the recipe. This is my first time making granola. I found one at the supermarket and it was quite expensive so I thought I would make it at home.
I had in the cabinets a lot of things that I wanted to add to my granola to taste really good, so I added them.
- 400 g of rolled oats (I had a mix of oats, rye, and corn)
- 1 tablespoon of sunflower seeds
- 2 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds
- 1 tablespoon of almond slices
- 2 tablespoons of dried cranberry
- 3 chopped dried apricots
- 2 tablespoons of grated coconut
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
- a pinch of salt
- a teaspoon of cinnamon
- a teaspoon of flax seeds
Making homemade delicious things is very easy, you just have to want this. If you are lazy, you will go to the supermarket and buy everything you need. This way it will be more expensive and not as delicious and healthy like homemade stuff.
It’s so easy to make this breakfast treat, you just add everything in a big bowl, toss to coat and arrange it on a big and wide baking tray. Bake the granola at 180*C for 20 minutes approximately, and toss it once halfway through to bake evenly.
Be careful, because it will brown quickly, watch the oven not to burn the granola. Let it cool completely before storing. Keep it in an airtight container in a dry place and enjoy it. 🙂
