Crunchy Cereal Chocolate Bars
These Crunchy Cereal Chocolate Bars are perfect for summer treats when it’s too hot outside to actually bake something.
Ingredients:
- 50-60 g of crunchy cereal
- 250 g of chocolate of your choice
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
As you can see, this recipe requires only 3 simple ingredients, and it’s made in less than 5 minutes. Because we don’t need an oven for this recipe, we freeze the bars for at least 2 hours and it’s done! 🙂
Gather your ingredients. In a big bowl add the coconut oil and the chocolate cut into cubes. Add the bowl to the microwave and melt the chocolate 30 seconds at a time. Stir to make sure it’s not burning and microwave for 30 more seconds until the chocolate is completely melted.
When the chocolate and the coconut oil are melted, add the cereal.
Stir to incorporate them entirely into the chocolate. You can add more cereal if you want to. But make sure the cereal is fully coated with the chocolate coconut mixture. If not, it will not stick in the freezer. If it doesn’t stick, your bars would not form, but they’ll be all crumbly.

Pour this mixture into a mold or something rectangular, like a container, lined with parchment paper to get the bar out easily. Press down with a spatula to make sure it’s sticking together.

Place the container in the freezer for at least 2 hours, until it’s solid. Take them out and cut them into squares and place them again in the container. This way you will have a treat in the freezer whenever you need one.
These are so much better than store-bought chocolate bars. If you are a fan of chocolate bars, try these instead. Make a big batch, freeze them and you will always have on hand something sweet.
