Creamy Rice Pudding

This Creamy Rice Pudding is perfect for warm and cozy homemade desserts, just like our moms make. It’s great even with leftover rice.

Ingredients:

  • 150g of white small grain rice
  • 400 ml of milk
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 of a teaspoon of vanilla powder
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar

This delicious dessert is really easy to make. Add all the ingredients above into a saucepan and bring to a boil.

When it starts to boil, turn the heat to medium-low and stir almost continuously so the rice doesn’t stick. Even if it cooks on low heat but you don’t stir, the rice will stick to the pan.

When it becomes creamy and the rice is cooked, your dessert is done. This should take 20-25 minutes, so you have to be patient but it’s worth it.

Plate it in two bowls, sprinkle some cacao and cinnamon on top and serve hot.

Note: If you have unsalted leftover rice in the fridge, just cook for 10-15 minutes the rice with the milk until it becomes creamy. But for this one, the quantities should be almost the same, because you can’t cook the rice so much because it’s already cooked.
