Granola really is the best. Delicious and satisfying. And this one uses one bowl and it requires only 6 simple ingredients.
Since I first tried granola I fell in love with it. It’s crunchy, it satisfies you for a few hours, you can mix it with fruits and yogurt. All in all is a great choice for breakfast. I love it!!
But the downside of it is that is super expensive, I don’t know why. And normally, the store-bought granola has a lot of sugar. And you don’t want all that sugar into your breakfast. But if you buy a healthier version, from a health store, is even more expensive.
Maybe if it wouldn’t be so expensive, I would try the store-bought kind, but why buy it when you can make it at home, so easily?
So, why not try to make it at home? You can keep it simple, by adding things you already have in the house. And change things you don’t have with other ones. Accessorize it to your own liking.
- 300 g of old-fashioned oats
- 1 teaspoon of virgin coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons of dried cranberries
- 2 tablespoons of coconut flakes
- grapeseed, sunflower seed oil instead of coconut oil
- agave, sugar or maple syrup instead of honey
- any kind of dried fruit instead of cranberries
- you can leave the coconut flakes out if you don’t have any
Into a baking dish add all the ingredients. Mix with your clean hands thoroughly until everything is fully combined.
Add the baking sheet to the preheated oven at 180*C and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Mix halfway through. Be careful because it burns easily.
Let the granola cool completely before adding it to a jar. Keep it at room temperature. It will last a few weeks.
Eat it with milk, yogurt or plain.
My favorite breakfast now is granola, persimmon (they’re in season) and plain yogurt. The best!!
