These easy Chocolate Whole-Wheat Pancakes are perfect if you’re craving chocolate for breakfast.
I love eating pancakes but I make them very rarely, so when I do make them, I want something special, not just regular pancakes, like these https://booksandlavender.com/2018/04/30/one-bowl-strawberry-pancakes/ orhttps://booksandlavender.com/2017/03/29/spelt-flour-pancakes-poppyseeds/
They’re quick to make and delicious, which is the most important thing, no? 🙂
- 300 ml of milk
- 280 grams of whole-wheat flour
- 4 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
- 2 tablespoons of cacao powder
- berries, to serve (optional)
- honey, to serve (optional)
It’s really easy to make pancakes from scratch at home, it’s not necessary to buy the store-bought stuff.
Just dump all the ingredients into a bowl, whisk everything to incorporate them and it’s ready.
Preheat a skillet and add a bit of oil of your choice (like grapeseed oil) to heat up. When it’s heated, turn the heat to low-medium and pour the batter for one pancake into the skillet. Turn the pancakes when they start to make bubbles on top. In the meantime, prepare some fruits for when you’re serving the pancakes.
Serve the pancakes warm with fruits, honey, powdered cinnamon and coffee. 🙂
